This Commercial tract of land is the last waterfront commercial tract left on Holden Beach. Holden Beach is 9 miles long and has 3,000 homes, with several new homes under construction. Wilmington, North Carolina is 35 miles due north, and Myrtle Beach is 35 miles due south. Both of the cities have airports. These two cities and the 100+ golf courses offer almost anything one can imagine.

As of January 24, 2002, all rental properties have been reserved for the season. There are only 3 restaurants presently on the island. One is a small pizza and sandwich restaurant with outdoor seating and guitar players during season. Captain Pete's is a new upscale restaurant, which seats 75 and is open only for dinner. Captain Pete's opened mid-2001 and had a wonderful season. Pete's is on the Intracoastal Waterway, 2 blocks away from this property, on the opposite side of the bridge. Pete's is now considered the best & only restaurant on Holden Beach, serving mostly a 25-65 age group. The 3rd restaurant is an aged grillroom located at the commercial pier on Holden Beach.

A new restaurant, Provisions, is opening directly across from this property, on the Intracoastal Waterway. Provisions also have a restaurant on the ICW in Southport, North Carolina (24 miles to the north). Provisions Southport restaurant is built like an open-air Bahamas style waterfront shack and has a laid back "beach" casual atmosphere. To the visitor who has never eaten at Provisions, the restaurant looks like a waterfront hole-in-the wall". Provisions have enjoyed wonderful profits and tremendous success for the past 13 years. Patrons can visit Provisions by boat, which adds to its appeal with tourist and local residents. Provisions is closed December- February every year. They serve lunch and dinner, and claims to sell 2,000 lbs of cooked shrimp per week. During the season there is always a waiting line.

This 1.40 acres of commercial property is large enough to build a large Coastal style seafood restaurant, with tremendous waterfront porch leading to transient boat docks. Patrons would come from Holden Beach, Ocean Isle, Seaside, Calabash, Sunset Beach, Lockwood Folly, Shallotte, Supply, Ash, Southport, Bolivia and Little River.
